Du bist im letzten Jahr nach Dresden zugezogen und willst jetzt Umzugsbeihilfe über 150 Euro beantragen oder hast die Umzugsbeihilfe in früheren Jahren genutzt?

Genau diese Umzugsbeihilfe möchte die Stadt Dresden rückwirkend für das Jahr 2019 abschaffen – alle im Vorjahr zugezogenen Studis würden diese nun nicht mehr erhalten. Die Stadtverwaltung hat das Studentenwerk Dresden bereits im November angewiesen, keine Anträge mehr anzunehmen. Eine Stadtratsentscheidung zur Abschaffung liegt aber bis zum heutigen Tag nicht vor. Als Studierendenvertretung bewerten wir das Handeln der Stadtverwaltung ohne politische Grundlage als äußerst fragwürdig und kritisieren dies scharf. Auch nach Rücküberweisung in die Ausschüsse am 30.01.2020 nimmt die Stadtverwaltung weiterhin keine Anträge an.

Um gemeinsam öffentlichen Druck ausüben zu können, brauchen wir deine Unterstützung!

Erstens:
Da wir der Meinung sind, dass die Richtlinie nicht rückwirkend abgeschafft werden kann, möchten wir die Stadt öffentlich dazu aufrufen, die Umzugsbeihilfe an alle im letzten Jahr zugezogenen Studis auszuzahlen und nehmen nun selbst die Anträge entgegen:

Hierzu füllst du den Ersatz-Antrag des StuRa der TU Dresden aus und bringst diesen während der Öffungszeiten des StuRa vorbei. Um eine Übergabe durch uns vor dem nächsten Stadtrat sicherzustellen, ist die Frist hierfür:

Alternativ kannst du deinen Antrag auch in den Briefkasten des StuRa werfen. In beiden Fällen musst du das ausgefüllte Formular mit den geforderten Anhängen in einem geschlossenen Umschlag einwerfen.

Ohne diese Anschrift erfolgt keine Weitergabe an die Stadt. Die Umschläge werden nicht geöffnet und geprüft. Du selbst bist dafür verantwortlich, dass Formular + Anhänge vollständig sind.

Dir steht es natürlich frei, die erforderlichen Dokumente direkt selbst an die Stadt zu schicken. Wir sind aber der Meinung, dass eine öffentlichkeitswirksame Übergabe ein deutlich stärkeres Signal an die Stadt ist.

Zweitens:
Du kannst uns bei der Übergabe mit deiner Anwesenheit unterstützen. Wir wollen alle Dokumente am 28.02.2019 um 16:00 Uhr der Stadt übergeben. Drittens:
Außerdem wurde eine Umfrage erstellt, die sich ganz bewusst an alle Studierenden richtet:
Wie unter den Infolinks genauer beschrieben (s.o.), sind wir uns durchaus bewusst, dass die Umzugsbeihilfe in der derzeit durchgeführten Form ihren Zweck nicht mehr im gleichen Umfang wie bei der Einführung erfüllt. Wir wollen von euch allen wissen, für welche Umwidmung der Gelder wir als StuRa bei der Stadt eintreten sollen, falls die Umzugsbeihilfe in ihrer jetzigen Form abgeschafft werden sollte.
Die Umfrage dauert keine 2 Minuten und gibt euch neben der Abstimmung über unsere Vorschläge auch die Chance, eigene Ideen einzubringen. Wir freuen uns über eine zahlreiche Teilnahme – schließlich geht es hier um eine große Summe Geld, mit der studentisches Leben mitgestaltet werden kann.

Dear Student,

You moved to Dresden last year (2019) and now wanted to apply for “Umzugsbeihilfe” (150 euros given to each student moving to Dresden in the preceding year)? Or have you moved to Dresden a couple of years ago and have been a beneficiary of 150 euros of “Umzugsbeihilfe and these 150 euros have made your start in Dresden a bit easier?

Unfortunately, the city government of Dresden is planning to abolish the “Umzugsbeihilfe” retroactively for the year 2019, which means that students who have moved to Dresden in 2019 would no longer receive these 150 euros.

Already in November 2019, the city government has ordered the “Studentenwerk” not to take any applications for the Umzugsbeihilfe, even though there hasn’t been an official decision by the city council itself. As StuRa Dresden (student council), we are fiercely questioning and criticizing this approach by the city government. Even though the decision was supposed to be delayed and reevaluated after the last city council meeting on 30 January 2020, the city government is still not taking any applications for Umzugsbeihilfe.

To increase public pressure, we need your support!

Firstly:
As we believe that policies cannot be abolished retroactively, we are publicly calling upon the city government to give Umzugsbeihilfe to all students that moved to Dresden in 2019. For this reason, StuRa Dresden will themselves collect the applications forms this year.

To do so, you just need to fill in this form and bring it to the StuRa. To ensure that we have enough time to deliver the applications forms to the city government before the next city council meeting, we request you to submit the form latest by:

Without the address of the city council written on the envelope we will not pass on the application form. The envelopes will not be openend and the content will not be audited in any way. You are responsible for a complete application form including the attachments yourself.

Disclaimer: you are obviously free to send or bring your application form straight to the city government yourself. However, our opinion is, that a public handover of numerous forms together may increase the pressure on the city government and city council.

Thirdly:
The StuRa of the TU Dresden created this survey, which is explicitely addressed to all students: We are aware that the Umzugsbeihilfe may be abolished in the future because it doesn’t fully serve the same purpose as during its implementation in 2003. For this reason we would like to know which other causes the money may serve. The survey is really short, only 2 minutes, and next to our proposals you are more than welcome to bring in your own ideas. We would be happy to have huge participation from you - after all, a large amount of money is involved here, with which student life in Dresden can be improved.
